Dignity Health Fetal Diagnostic Center
Chandler Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center have partnered to provide the East Valley with the Dignity Health Fetal Diagnostic Center. The center provides comprehensive diagnostic services for high-risk obstetrics, diagnosis of fetal abnormalities, and care for both mother and fetus during a complicated pregnancy.
We offer pre-pregnancy consultation, comprehensive fetal ultrasound, genetic testing, amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, prenatal evaluation, fetal testing, and diabetic education. Dr. Julia Solomon and our sonographers are certified in first trimester screening with fetal nuchal translucency measurement. We offer three- and four-dimensional ultrasound whenever indicated. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound machines and the latest monitoring equipment.
Your primary obstetrician will decide if your pregnancy is high-risk. Our doctors and highly skilled professional staff will work closely with your primary obstetrician, developing a comprehensive plan of care to achieve the best outcome for you and your baby. Our staff is comprised of Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists (doctors with specialized training and experience in the care of pregnant women and their fetuses, including high-risk pregnancies), sonographers, a genetic counselor, and staff, all dedicated to helping you have the healthiest baby possible.

Meet the Team
Julia E. Solomon, M.D, C.M.
Dr. Solomon has expertise in ultrasonography and prenatal diagnosis and treatment of the fetus. Dr. Solomon received her medical degree from the McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as maternal fetal medicine.
Richard Blumrick, M.D.
Dr. Blumrick has expertise in complicated pregnancies, extreme prematurity and gene therapy. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with a specialty in maternal fetal medicine.
