Emergencies Happen
Nobody chooses to have an emergency. But choosing the right Emergency Room can make all the difference. When it comes to emergency care for you and your loved ones, you can trust Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Upon arrival and check-in, you will seen by a doctor who briefly reviews your situation and decides what level of care you need. You are then directed to one of three areas: Fast Track, Treat, or Acute.
Fast Track is for patients with minor emergencies, such as broken bones or cuts, who need to be treated and sent home.
Treat and anticipate disposition is for stable patients who need medication or intravenous treatment for illnesses such as a case of the flu or food poisoning.
Acute Care is for patients requiring immediate interventions or those in need of intensive monitoring for events such as a heart attack or stroke.
If all three areas are full, the doctor can send for appropriate tests while you wait for an opening in one of teh care areas. This allows the hospital to provide continuous comprehensive treatment.
Communication plays a vital role in your overall experience, and we have taken extra steps to ensure that you and your family is kept well informed throughout your stay.
