Continuous Specialized Care

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center's 30-bed Telemetry / Observation Unit  provides care for adults with emphasis on caring for cardiac patients.

We care for:

• Seriously ill patients who require continuous monitoring,
• Including pre- and post-operative and cardiac patients.

These patients require increased nursing care hours, as well as a more intensive nurse-to-patient ratio.

The Telemetry Unit operates from a paperless system, helping to expedite patient care. Computer and chart workstations located between each room allows the nursing staff to closely monitor each patient. Additionally, each patient room has a bedside computer for documentation and bedside medication verification.
