Staffed by licensed medical technologists and certified phlebotomists, the Laboratory Department provides comprehensive laboratory services to our patients 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays.
The laboratory maintains ongoing quality control, proficiency testing and performance improvement programs designed to objectively and systematically monitor and evaluate the quality of services.
The laboratory maintains accreditation with the College of American Pathologists and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act. The laboratory provides the following diagnostic and therapeutic services:
- Bone marrow aspirations and biopsy
- Frozen section
- Patient specimen testing
- Specimen collection
- Specimen processing
- The distribution of blood and blood components
