Classes & Outreach Programs

As part of our commitment to improving the health of our community, Mercy Gilbert and Chandler Regional Medical Centers offer several classes, services, clinics, support groups and other outreach programs that are often free or low-cost.

  • Baby Your Baby Newborn Care Class: Because babies don’t come with instruction manuals, Chandler Regional Medical Center has developed a one-day newborn care class for first-time parents who want to learn about caring for an infant.
  • Breastfeeding: Chandler Regional Medical Center Breastfeeding Support Group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Breastfeeding Support Group meets weekly on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the exception of major holidays.
  •
Childbirth Preparation: If you are a first-time parent or have never attended a prenatal class, the Childbirth Preparation course will help you through your pregnancy and the birth of your baby. The four-week course for expectant mothers and their coaches is taught by qualified instructors and covers many aspects of pregnancy and birthing including relaxation and breathing techniques.
  • Safe Sitter®: This one-day course for adolescents between the ages of 11 and 13. Attendees will receive hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques from trained Safe Sitter® Instructors, so they are prepared to respond to crisis situations.

For more information, please call ResourceLink at (480) 728-5414, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You may also leave a message during after hours and someone will return your call during the next business day.
