Stroke Caregiver Support Group
Family members, caregivers and friends are very important to the recovery process for a stroke survivor. Stroke recovery can last for several years.
Caregivers experience highs and lows as their role can be rewarding and very stressful. As a caregiver, you must take care of yourself in order to have the energy to care for your loved one. This group offers the support and educational resources you need to handle the mental and physical stresses you undergo.
This free support groups meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the McAuley Auditorium B on the third floor of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center's Medical Office Building (MOB). The MOB is located at 3420 South Mercy Road in Gilbert, and is adjacent to the Emergency Room.
